Our roots are bedded in the heart of bluegrass with soulful harmonies and instrumental sounds….

The Hazel Holler band formed in 2003. This Kentucky native bluegrass group performs a mixture of traditional bluegrass, gospel and country songs. The band incorporates a mixture of three part harmony and instrumentals into their music. The group members include Michelle Wallace, Jackie Thacker, and Tonya Adkins, and Tim Robinson.

Michelle Wallace plays bass and also sings. She is a graduate of Morehead State University and is the host of Bluegrass Sunday, which can be heard from Noon to 3 p.m. every Sunday on 90.3 FM locally, or you can webstream at wmky.org. Michelle is becoming well - known for her great Mama Hazel's Salsa, which she usually has with her. She lives on a farm in Sandy Hook.

Jackie Thacker plays banjo for Hazel Holler. She lives in Fleming County with her husband Daryl. Jackie grew up playing bluegrass music, along with her brother Ben, also a musician. She is an elementary school teacher. She plays a banjo her father put together for her and sings.

Tonya Adkins, the lives on a small farm in Carter City, Kentucky. She plays guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals. She began singing at an early age with her family and in the church choir. She has played with the gospel groups Treasures Unseen and Boundless Love. For many years she was a member of the West Virginia based band, Backroads, and more recently the group Greenbrier Junction.
